It’s vital that company’s who work from client issued design specifications ensure they check the material specifications listed within the engineer’s calculations.

Members have reported that engineers are producing calculations and quoting S355 grade material for all sections including baseplates and plate sections ( generally being S275) this may be missed if not checked thoroughly.
