An independent welding consultant/Engineer with over 40 years experience.

Previously qualified/coded welder with experience in the structural steel, pressure vessels, marine, offshore, petrochemical, rail, hydraulics and aviation sectors.
Experience in steels, aluminium, stainless and other more exotic alloys, using TIG, MIG/MAG, MMA, FCAW, oxy-fuel and Flash-Butt welding.
Senior welding inspector (CSWIP) and MP/DP inspector (PCN).
Zurich accredited welding surveyor - witnessing welding procedures and welder qualifications. European/International Welding Technologist
SCCS approved RWC to level 4 and below
Qualified HSE part 1 commercial diver and hyperbaric welder
American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and EMTA Awards (EAL) accredited
Published author, including a 12k word thesis for CEng. Registered designs and patents on several welding related products.

We offer either a  tailored and personal service based on client needs or run training courses that meet with such requirements as our RWC EXC 2 course for EN 1090.

Weld-Qual trainers have a longstanding reputation and have experience in the disciplines they deliver training in, some having in excess of 25 years in both the FE and industrial sectors. We also have access to and use presenters that hold formal International Welding Engineering Qualifications issued by the IIW (International Institute of Welding) and EWF (European Welding Federation).
