.State the relevant code (Eurocodes) the design calculations are to be produced to

.Calculations to state minimum grade and quality (sub grade) of material

.Calculation to state fillet weld size and either leg or throat length

.When stating Butt Welds consider if the weld is only acting as a sealing weld or full or part penetration Butt Weld as state accordingly

.Butt Welds – partial penetration state depth of weld

.Butt Welds state the u value (THIS IS IMPORTANT TO THE FABRICATOR BECAUSE IF THE U VALUE IS ?  0.5 THEN SUPPLIMENTRY NDT WILL BE REQUIRED  AND THE ADDITIONAL COSTS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN FACTORED IN TO THE TENDER QUOTATION BY THE FABRICATOR.)

EN 1090-2 Table 24 NOTE 2 U = Utilization grade for welds for quasi-static actions. U = Ed/Rd, where Ed is the largest action effect of the weld and Rd is the resistance of the weld in the ultimate limit state.

.Consider if a Fillet Weld can replace a Butt Weld by detailing a slight change in a connection detail.

.Consider full specification for any surface treatment / finish to be applied and to what standard is has to be carried out to.

.If structural bolt assemblies are required to meet BS EN 15048 (Non-Preloaded Structural Bolt Assemblies)

.Etag or EN reference to any other specified fixing
